To assist children and spouses of overseas Pakistanis who are enrolled in public or private educational institutions in the nation, OPF established the Overseas Pakistanis Education Fund (OPEF). Scholarships will be offered through this initiative to children and spouses of Pakistanis living abroad who are enrolled in the following programmes:
• Middle school or an equivalent
• Graduation programmes, such as MBBS, BDS, and engineering bachelor’s degrees.
• Master’s/MS degree (18 years of education)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• A grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 or at least 60% on the latest SSC/HSSC board exam, or graduation from a HEC-recognized university with a master’s or doctorate degree.
• The applicant’s spouse or one of their parents must be an OPF member in good standing (valid for 03 years after permanent return).
• The parent’s or spouse’s monthly salary should be at least Rs. 100,000.
• Refusing all other scholarships offered during the school year.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
• If a parent dies within three years of the closing date of this advertisement, the child of the dead registered OP is also entitled to apply.
•OPF Scholarships to the Spouses of Overseas Pakistanis shall be awarded if the respective candidates meet the remaining qualifying requirements and no children of the same OP parent are simultaneously using the OPF scholarship programme.
HOW TO APPLY FOR OPEF
- The OPF’s official website, www.opf.org.pk, offers the Application Form for download for qualified candidates.
- You can also get an application form from the OPF Head Office Lahore and the regional OPF offices at Islamabad. Peshawar and Multan. Quetta, Karachi, and Mirpur (AJK).
- Applications may be delivered to OPF’s headquarters in Islamabad. Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta, and Mirpur all have OPF regional offices (AJK).
- Applicants can get in touch with the Education division for more information and clarification. OPF Head Office Islamabad is open from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
THE LAST DAY TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS
- Application on prescribed form, properly filled out in every way, must be delivered to one of the aforementioned. OPF offices by March 31, 2023, at the latest, for further processing.
- Applications received after the deadline won’t be taken into consideration.
